I was not lucky enough to be originally from Maine, but I am forever grateful for finding Maine. I was born and raised in Texas and spent nearly 2 decades Alabama before moving to Maine. I attended The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Which is where I met husband, Byrne. We have two daughters, Keegan that is 6 years old and Ava, that is nearly 1 year old they keeps us on our toes! One way I stay connected to my children and give back to the community is volunteering within the local schools and with the local community programs. I have coached pee-wee soccer, volunteered with Little League Tee-ball, volunteer with the PTC, and twice a week I go to the school to help kids with their reading and writing that need extra attention.

We chose to make Maine our home for 2 distinct reasons: 1. To be close to our family that lives here in Southern Maine and to raise our children in such an environment that only Maine has to offer. No where we looked to live has compared to the combination of Maine's great schools, safe neighborhoods, endless amounts of nature to explore, and most of all the people. We spend most of our time outside hiking, at playgrounds, the beach, or exploring the unique things Maine has to offer. For example, Yarmouth High School has an Oyster Farming Club of which you can purchase Oysters from. Portland as several Learn to Sail school camps for kids a young as 5 years old. There are multiple farms that you can learn about the animals and purchase Milk, cheese, eggs, etc. and in the winter you can sled, snowshoe, or cross-country ski at. There are 5 farms within 15 minutes of our home that offer different opportunities. I was so impressed about the hiking trails that are easily accessed and well kept! We have family spread across southern Maine: Wells, Pownal and Brunswick. All of which I have been their Realtor. In the short time we all have been living here, we’ve been blessed to have made friends with so many people in our community.
